Nae Nae’s Cinnamon Rolls in an Hour
Submitted by Jenae Bethers - added 8/18/26
For an indulgent breakfast or dessert. 🤭 This is a General Conference-morning favorite in our home. Magically, you can eat twice as many if you do so while they are still very warm from being in the oven.
Ingredients
- Dough:
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups VERY warm water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 5 cups flour
- butter (about 1/4-1/2 C)
- cinnamon
- sugar
- Glaze:
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Instructions
- Stir 1/3 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cups very, very warm water, and 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast together and set aside for 15 minutes.
- Add 2 eggs, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, and 5 cups flour.
- Knead for 5 minutes, then let it rise for 10 minutes.
- Make rolls for dinner or…better yet…follow these next steps for cinnamon rolls:
- Roll dough out and smooth butter over surface.
- GENEROUSLY sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over butter.
- Roll up and cut into 3/4-in to 1-in slices using tooth floss or thread.
- Bake at 425F for 10 minutes.
- For glaze: Mix powdered sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla.
- Drizzle glaze over top of cinnamon rolls.
